Calendula is in the Asteraceae family — skip if allergic to ragweed, daisies, or chrysanthemums. Patch-test on the inner forearm 24 hours before shaving with a new oil. Avoid contact with eyes. Method
- 1 Wet the skin you're about to shave with warm water.
- 2 Pour a small amount of avocado oil into your palm and add a few drops of calendula oil.
- 3 Smooth onto the area and shave with the grain.
- 4 Rinse with cool water and pat dry — your skin should feel notably softer with no burn or tightness.
