Important — read before making

IMPORTANT — apply only to skin that will stay covered by clothing. Sweet orange essential oil is photosensitizing: it reacts with sunlight on skin and can cause dark spots, irritation, or sunburn for up to 12 hours after applying. Best spots are the chest (under a shirt), inside of the elbow, the base of the throat under a collar, or the back of the neck under your hair. Avoid wrists, hands, and any uncovered skin in the sun. If you want to wear it on exposed pulse points, apply at night and wash off in the morning. Patch test on the inner arm 24 hours before regular use. Avoid during pregnancy without practitioner guidance.

About this recipe

A roller-bottle perfume oil blending sweet orange, eucalyptus, and tea tree on a jojoba base. Bright, uplifting, and meant for pulse-point application when you need a lift.

Ingredients

Method

  1. 1 Add the essential oils to the empty roller bottle first — orange, then eucalyptus, then tea tree.
  2. 2 Fill the rest of the bottle with jojoba (or fractionated coconut), leaving a small headspace at the top.
  3. 3 Cap with the roller ball and screw on the lid.
  4. 4 Shake gently to combine the oils.
  5. 5 Roll onto pulse points that stay covered by clothing — the chest (under a shirt), inside of the elbow, base of the throat (under a collar), or the back of the neck under your hair. After sunset or indoors, you can also use it on wrists and behind the ears.

What you'll notice

  • Lifts mood and energy in the morning
  • Helps you feel more alert and clear-headed
  • A drug-free pick-me-up between coffees
  • Smells fresh — citrus + clearing eucalyptus + clean tea tree
  • Travel-friendly in a small bottle

Tips & storage

Tip

If your jojoba ever smells off or rancid, discard the whole bottle and remake — the essential oils stay fine but a turned carrier oil can irritate skin.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place. The roller bottle keeps for 6–9 months. Smell-check before each use.
