Amla Hair Pack
This hair mask helps with hair strength and natural shine.
Amla can mildly darken hair over time — beneficial for darker hair, may not be wanted on light blonde. Patch test first if you color your hair (tannins can interact). Use glass or wood, not metal, for mixing.
About this recipe
The classical Ayurvedic hair pack — Amla powder mixed with warm water (or hibiscus tea for added shine) into a paste, massaged into the scalp and through the hair, left 30-60 minutes, then washed. High vitamin C content strengthens the hair shaft and the scalp; tannins close the cuticle. Weekly or bi-weekly.
