Ayurvedic Recipes
33 classical Ayurvedic household formulas — *kashayam* (decoctions), *churna* (powdered blends), *taila* (medicated oils), and the daily *dinacharya* rituals — drawn from the Ayurvedic canon and adapted for a modern household kitchen apothecary.
Ayurveda is the medical tradition of the Indian subcontinent, codified in the *Charaka Samhita* (c. 300 BCE) and continuously practiced for over two thousand years. The household subset — what a family would actually make at home — covers daily routine (*dinacharya*), digestive support, immune building, sleep, women's health, hair and skin care, and seasonal balancing.
These recipes are tried-and-true classical formulas — they have been refined over centuries, not invented for the site. Healing Almanac original recipes and biblical-tradition recipes live alongside them, on the main Recipes page and the Biblical Recipes section.
